I’m Holly—a formally trained Colour Analyst and Interior Designer based in Essex.
I got into interiors unexpectedly at 16, while studying fashion. A seasonal internship as a luxury gift wrapper introduced me to the world of interior design—ironically, the one thing I questioned was how this industry ‘wasn’t relevant to me’. Even more unexpectedly to my 16 year old self, I was wrong.
This experience sparked a gradual but lasting shift in my life. What began as curiosity evolved into higher education, and ultimately into a practice that combines intentional design with the transformative power of colour. I believe that colour—when used with purpose—is one of the most underused tools in shaping how we feel, look, and connect with our spaces.
This conviction not only leads my personal colour analysis work but has also become central to my approach to furniture upcycling. I use colour theory and my skills in design to breathe new life into old, unwanted furniture—transforming overlooked pieces into one-of-a-kind items. Upcycling allows me to merge sustainability with creativity, offering clients the chance to add character to their spaces while reducing waste.
Whether I’m refining a colour scheme, reinventing a pre-loved piece of furniture, or discovering someones colour season, my aim is the same: to create something that feels completely personal.
